Exam Preparation Courses for examinations required for admission to higher education in Greece or abroad, for overseas employment opportunities or for migration purposes.

Throughout the programme, there is on-going practice to get used to working under examination conditions. IELTS Preparation

The exam preparation ranges between a few weeks and a few months, depending on the score required.

IELTS Content

IELTS assesses all 4 basic skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. There are two different types of IELTS test: Academic and General Training. Speaking and Listening are the same in both exam types, but Reading and Writing are different.

IELTS BANDS

The bands range from 0 – 9 and the band required is determined by the respective University, Institution, Professional Body or the Immigration Authorities of the destination country (in case of immigration).

 

Exam Types

You can take IELTS in one of the following ways:

  • On Paper (All written parts in the traditional way, with pen/pencil and paper. The Speaking Test is conducted by a face-to-face interview.)
  • On Computer (All written parts on the computer. The Speaking Test is conducted by a face-to-face interview.)

 

Academic Module or General Training Module?

Academic Module

Choose this type of examination if you wish to study at undergraduate or postgraduate level or if you are seeking professional registration with an association, professional body e.g. doctors and nurses or chamber of commerce and for immigration purposes in some countries. General Training Module

Choose this type of test if you wish to emigrate to an English-speaking country, (e.g. Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom) or if you wish to train or study (including schools or colleges) below degree level.

 

Rethink IELTS Exam Prep Course (Academic Module)

Our IELTS Exam Prep Course is designed for students seeking a high-level certification of their language skills for academic or professional purposes. The programme covers all the skills required during the exam and the course lasts from a few weeks up to 3 months, depending on the student’s level at the time of enrolment*. Courses are either in groups or one-to-one, with face-to-face or fully online attendance, depending on course availability.

*A placement test is mandatory prior to enrolling in an IELTS Exam Prep Course

Courses are conducted entirely in English by trained teachers with extensive experience in preparing students for the IELTS exam.

During the course, all the techniques required for students to successfully pass the exam and obtain their desired Band Score will be covered.

All skills are covered to the fullest extent, and special emphasis is placed on the written part of the exam, which is one of the most important areas a student needs to develop in an academic setting.

TOEFL iBT SCORES

The score scale ranges from 0 – 9 and the score required is determined by the respective University, Institution or Organisation.

Test Types

TOEFL Exam Prep Course

Targeted preparation in the skills required for students to take the TOEFL iBT exam. Courses are conducted entirely in English by teachers with extensive experience in preparing students for the TOEFL iBT exam. Preparation can take from a few weeks to 3 months, depending on the level of the student at the time of enrolment*.

*A placement test is mandatory prior to enrolling in an IELTS Exam Prep Course

The course uses both textbook and computer-based materials to thoroughly prepare candidates. As the exam is entirely computer-based, maximum familiarity with the test format is required for successfully participating in the exam and receiving the desired score.

OET Exam Prep Course

Courses are conducted entirely in English by highly qualified teachers with many years of experience in preparing students for the OET exam.

During the course, all those techniques required for students to successfully pass the exam and obtain their desired score will be covered.

Our Centre gives you the opportunity to benefit both from improving your level of English and certifying your knowledge.

By attending our adult classes, from Beginner level A1 to Proficiency C2, you can take either the Cambridge Assessment English, the Michigan Language Assessment or the English Speaking Board (ESB) exams to certify your level.

All three Examination Bodies provide English Language Certifications that are both recognised overseas ( subject to conditions), and they also appear in the list of English Language Proficiency Certifications of the Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection (ASEP).
